Is Guiding Light Truly ending after 70+ years?

I am such a big GL fan, and my husband just informed me that the show is ending in September. Is this show really going to come to an end. If so how are they going to close out all of the story lines that are going on? Marina and Mallet just got there baby, Reva and Jeffery just had there baby. All the relationships that are starting and so on. Why would they just end a good show? If it's really going to end. I am devastated if it is..
